The Bread of God is He who comes down from Heaven and gives life to the world. John 6:33
Pretty amazing, isn't it? Jesus is our Bread of Life. He is the Bread of the Presence fulfilled. And because of His sacrifice on the cross for our sins, because God found satisfaction with His Son, we are able to "partake of the Manna from Heaven." As Beth Moore states, "He was satisfied with Jesus. And that is enough to cover me."
It keeps getting better and better, don't you think?
It keeps getting better and better, don't you think?
Do you find the bread of Christ's presence satisfying in your life? Why or why not?

this was a hard question for me to answer... well, it really wasn't hard, if i'm being honest... it was just difficult to put into words, i think... here are my thoughts...
oftentimes, when i feel unfulfilled or unsatisfied, i start to get frustrated! at everyone and everything!... thinking it is someone else's fault or problem. while others can fail us at times and seriously lack in their relationship to us, i still believe that i need to be looking inward when these things happen! am i choosing to seek Jesus? am i choosing to allow the Holy Spirit to grow His fruit in me? or am i just pouting and whining because i'm dissatisfied?!... i do not believe that the bread of Jesus is not satisfying me.... but i do think sometimes i'm not satisfied with it. does that make sense?? i believe when i'm not satisfied i'm fighting against what God would satisfy me with--His love, provision, mighty power, etc. i don't know if this is making sense or not....
lately i've been feeling pretty overwhelmed because of a few different things. and i have had a horrible attitude about it! sure, the circumstances perhaps warrant that, however, especially for the sake of my family, i MUST choose to be satisfied AT ALL TIMES, right?!!! no matter the circumstances! i could be thankful that things aren't worse. i could be praising God for all the great things happening right now AND for teaching me through these tough times to rely on Him more! for some reason, i have a hard time seeing Him right now through all that's happening so crazily around me! but i know He's there--the bread of Presence always is!.... i do think that satisfaction has a lot to do with choosing--sort of like contentment... not only that, but i believe God knows us best and knows best what we need to be satisfied!!... all that to say, trusting and choosing and allowing Him to satisfy are SO important!!! i won't find Him satisfying when i'm not looking...
