Week 6: The Heart of a Servant

Day 5: The Garments of the Priests

Well, the final day of this week's study was preparation for next week. So, there were quite a few details to sort through and remember from weeks past and some interesting new details too. However, isn't a study like this a testament to the way our Lord is interested in and concerned with the details?

One thing that sticks out to me in learning about the construction and details of the Tabernacle has been the way God used all of our senses to reveal Himself to us and for us to give and sacrifice to Him! With the fragrant offering, the beauty of not only the Tabernacle itself but now we've seen the garments of the priests were beautifully detailed as well! And to know the garments had bells on them, so you could hear when the priest entered God's presence! Not to mention, the feel and ambiance of the whole thing must have been amazing! You know, all of us learn and experience things in different ways, and it seems that God didn't want to leave anything out when it came to relating and ministering to His people!

I hope and pray this week's study has been challenging and uplifting for all of you, sisters! I know it has been for me. It's hard to believe we have only 4 weeks left! Hang in there. Let's finish strong together!!!

Do you have any other thoughts concerning all the details of the Tabernacle? Is there something specific you are taking away from this week's study?

I have to agree that this weeks study had a TON of detail. But it's amazing just to see God's "Details" in everything.

The thing that stuck out to me most this week was yesterday's study on sharing our personal battles and the two negative consequences that come with not sharing them with others. This is something that I don't personally struggle with, but it taught me a whole new perspective on it, and that when we don't share or ask for support, we cheat others of the joy of victory!

As for today's study... It appears to be all in the details. I love trying to visualize what these beautiful robes, turbans, & ephods looked like. I can only imagine the beauty - because it's God's doing! Every detail was so precise and perfect beyond belief.

Here is what Beth said that made me really look at it differently.
"My heart stands convicted when considering that I could dress in all of the holy robes designed by a divinly-inspired seamstress yet underneath would remain a sin-prone woman in desperate need of Grace." - Amen Sister!!!

She then went on to say "Do not let Satan convince you that God is not actively involved in the intricate design of you life. God has not missed a single stitch or left a stone unturned on you behalf; furthermore, His activity in the details of your life most often display His Glory and Beauty."

Alway Look for God in the details!!!

i personally don't like details... well, i love them when others have put the time, effort, research and labor into them.. but as for me, i like to take the shortest route to wherever i'm trying to get! i'm getting better at this, realizing the beauty and learning in the details. and a lesson like this certainly makes me realize that God is SO concerned with the details, maybe i should pay more attention!! it's funny, because i think my life circumstances are forcing me to be more aware and concerned about the details.. but then sometimes i get caught up in the wrong ones--the not-so-important ones, you know what i mean??....

this week was good, and once again, timely for me! i'm thankful to be on this little journey with such wonderful and different sisters in Christ! i'm learning SO much from the study and from YOU guys as well!! thanks, everyone!!!
